Want to fool your friends with Magic? So do your students! Introducing my "Magical Mysteries" series of fun-filled classes for Junior Magicians!
I've been doing magic classes at after-school
Enrichment Programs for over ten years and I have to tell you, boys and girls love this class! Not only do they learn how to fool their family and friends with real magic, they learn about theater arts and storytelling in the process.
A lot of schools run a five or six week (or more) after-school enrichment program in the fall, winter, and spring, while others simply do one session each year. To fit that schedule, I developed three programs that can run back to back (all different material each session) or independently (because there are always new students in each class anyway.)

This kicks off our series of magic classes for grades 2 through 5 (recommended.) Here I teach students how to fool their family and friends with cards, coins, ropes, and more. Sleight of hand! Mind reading! Doing the impossible! They can do it all, but only after taking The Oath of Secrecy! ![]()
Continuing our series (I get a lot of repeat students!) we learn new ways to read minds, predict the future, and generally amaze people with the wonder of magic.
![]() Strange Science and Weird Magic
Now we add a twist by introducing the Magic of Science. Each class features an interesting science topic as well as an unusual magic topic. Here we explore things like: Static electricity (Will your hair really stand on end?) Optical illusions (Do you really see what you think you do?) Secret codes (Which only your friends can read!) The Lie Detector and your Electric Body (Can you fool the machine?) The final class varies with the season. Either The Power of Light (Lenses and Mirrors and Light, Oh My!) or Your Backyard Planetarium (Star Finding and Star Gazing.)
I have to be honest, my availability for these classes is very limited. Since I have shows every Saturday and Sunday, I need to keep two days open during the week. With only five after-school hours available each week, that means I can only help three schools each session.
