They all want to be part of the show!
It's that close interaction that makes my kind of magic so fun and personal.
From hearing their their toes squeak to waving the magic wand, they
are involved in my show.
Every group is different and I'm sensitive enough to see that, for some, just wiggling their fingers and saying the magic word is enough. And I respect that. But I have to tell you, it always brings a smile when that shy little girl or boy in the back row raises a hand and wants to help me with the last trick. Then I know I've done my job well! |

My goal is to make sure the children have as good a time as possible! To surprise them with a magical ending is just the icing on the cake.
It doesn't matter if we have six kids or an entire classroom, they always have a good time, literally from start to finish. Control problems are never a issue since I know just how to channel their energy into the laughter that fills our shows.
You see, experience really does count!
Three and four-year-olds are sometimes a little unsure
when they're in a new situation. They need a gentle touch to
enjoy a show without being frightened but, once you get them giggling,
keep that camera rolling! You won't believe what a good time we
have!
The five and six-year-olds get a real kick out of the fast-paced magical skits we do. Sometimes, I "seem" to have a bit of trouble making things work and then they're the heroes that make the magic happen. Wait 'till you hear the cheers!
Seven and eights are more sophisticated and can appreciate the magic in the show, as well as the humor that the little ones miss. Not to mention how much they love doing that "dangerous" trick with a very brave helper!
The point is that each age group is different and I always adjust my programs for the perfect fit.
It's because I think about details like these that my show is so worry-free for you.
Unlike a lot of entertainers, I actually enjoy birthday parties for 8, 9, and 10 year olds (and up!) That's because I zero in on their interests with my hands-on magic workshop! It's an hour-long class of magic, in your home, where they learn how to fool their friends and family with tricks using cards, coins, ropes, and more.
With the Harry Potter books and movies, interest in magic has never been higher. I explain how we can use our illusions to surprise, amaze, and impress the people we know. What a great self-esteem builder!
I supply all materials and they each go home with their own magic wand and custom magic kit! You won't need goody bags with this party!
Whether it's a wonderful thank-you note, a glowing referral, or a "little something extra" in my check, Moms and Dads let me know, every week, that I'm doing a good job. I'm proud of the reputation I've earned and I'm proud of the work I do.
As the economy is finally perking up, it's good to plan ahead if you need a certain date or time, especially for a weekend show.
Make a note on your calendar, about a month and a half ahead, to "Call Jerry The Magician, 860-868-2542" and then we can go over the party and show details, always with no obligation. If I'm on the road, please leave a message and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
That said, a last-minute call is always worth a try! I sometimes get calls for the very next day that work out so, as they say in those lottery ads, "Hey, you never know!" Give it a shot and we'll take it from there.
